Long day of rehearsals yesterday with my friends of La Ignorancia, a Brussels-based dance/film company. Ana is a Spanish choreographer/dancer/director, and her boyfriend Jorge (also Spanish) is a musician/director of photography/general technical genius. Three years ago I worked with them on the soundtrack for their film Cinética. Now we are putting together a live dance piece, called Pulsión. I’ll be playing music together with Jorge. Ana will dance, together with Lia, a Greek dancer.
In July we’ll be working in a theatre in Cáceres, Spain, for a week. (I’ve never been “artist in residence” somewhere before, how cool!) Then back to Belgium for more rehearsals, first public performance in September or so. Exciting times.
