Ok, this is a bit geeky, but seriously, you have no idea how often the combination “smartphone” + “data pack” + “Google Maps” saved our ass in the US. So I’m at 5th and Main. Where is the post office? How do I get to this hipster bar in The Mission? Where can I buy sex toys for a sleazy Couchsurfing party tonight (entirely hypothetical example, that is)? Google Maps will tell you. Eventually, Google will control The World. But let’s not think about that just yet.
